Between its restaurants, bars and Picturehouse cinema, Filmworks is set to showcase a vibrant social scene. In tune with Ealing's history, the star of Filmworks will be the eight-screen picturehouse cinema.

Filmworks is the transformation of a historic area of Ealing into a new leisure quarter at the heart of the town centre.

To celebrate Ealing's strong connection with the file industry, St George is to restore the Empire Cinema's historic art deco facade and design details to create a new landmark for the neighbourhood. Alongside the new eight-screen and over 1,000 seat Picturehouse cinema, a central open piazza will be
surrounded by a mix of the new shops, restaurants and bars.

St George has consulted closely with the Ealing community to ensure Ealing Filmworks provides the right mix of retail, restaurants and leisure. The new Picturehouse cinema, a much sought-after amenity for the community, will be delivered first and carefully restored to its former landmark status.

Filmworks has been named in respect of Ealing's rich history in cinema, from which the buildings will be named after famous actors who have starred in productions filmed in Ealing Studios. This will be further reflected in the public art, referencing heritage of the area.
